Skiing Tips for Safety on the Slopes

As temperatures drop, it's important to prioritize your safety while skiing. Dressing appropriately is key to preventing frostbite. Layer your clothing, with a moisture-wicking fabric as the innermost layer, to keep warm and dry.

Take regular breaks and seek shelter from the cold to avoid overexposure. If your clothes become wet or cold, change into dry clothing immediately to prevent further discomfort. Remove any restrictive clothing or jewelry to ensure proper blood circulation throughout your body.

Staying hydrated is crucial, even in cold weather. Remember to drink plenty of fluids to keep your body functioning optimally while on the slopes.

On Saturday, the festivities kick off with face painting by Happy Little Faces at the Resort Center. The Mini Big Air freestyle competition registration will also take place, followed by practice laps at the Heaven Holler Terrain Park.
