The Centre, inaugurated by MP Tapir Gao, is a testament to the efforts of the District Administration in promoting tourism and preserving the rich local culture. Gao emphasized the importance of traditions and culture, stating that the Centre would play a vital role in this aspect. He also urged the administration to enhance the existing Botanical Garden in Tezu.

The Community Convention Centre encompasses various components to contribute towards achieving its vision. These include a District Museum, an Open Air Theatre, a Garden Amphitheatre, an Exhibition Hall-cum-Photo Gallery, an Outdoor Art and Design Museum, a Music Wall and Play House, Food Stalls and Sales Counters, Innovation and Creativity Zones, a Souvenir Shop, and a Café.

A Platform for Showcasing Local Talents

MP Tapir Gao highlighted the need to identify and nurture local talents and expressed his belief that the newly constructed Centre could serve as a platform for showcasing these talents. He encouraged the youth of the district to make the best use of the Centre and explore their potential and hidden talents. Saurabh also highlighted the unique and innovative approach of the Outdoor Art and Design Museum, which utilizes recycled waste materials to address environmental concerns and promote artistic expression.

The Centre is set to host a diverse range of events catering to various interests and demographics. Planned events include Cultural Festivals, Art Exhibitions, Book Fairs and Literature Festivals, Music Concerts, Theatrical Performances, and Food Festivals.

Managing the Centre for Optimal Utilization

The activities of the Community Convention Centre will be managed by a Society registered with the Deputy Commissioner, with the Deputy Commissioner serving as the ex-officio Chairperson. The Society has issued detailed guidelines to ensure the optimal utilization of spaces, assets, infrastructure, and facilities developed at the Centre.

Inauguration and Additional Facilities

The inauguration ceremony of the Community Convention Centre was attended by local leaders, representatives of various organizations, and student leaders. MP Tapir Gao also inaugurated the Model Anganwadi Centre and the Renovated District Emporium in Tezu during the program.
