Teaming up with Chef Manish Uniyal, Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Chennai, Chef Nilza has meticulously curated an exclusive and authentic menu for the pop-up running from March 6th to March 10th, 2024. This culinary extravaganza promises to showcase the rich heritage of Ladakhi cuisine through interactive live cooking sessions led by Chef Nilza and her skilled culinary team at Stix, utilizing traditional ingredients and cooking methods.

A Fusion of Ladakhi and Chennai Flavors

Speaking about her journey, Chef Nilza Wangmo, said, "This is the food I cook for my family and loved ones. Recipes that have been one with nature, using seasonal ingredients and sustainable cooking techniques. The initiative to bring this five-day pop-up to Chennai stems from the collaboration between Yogita Uchil, a well-known food enthusiast and entrepreneur, and Hyatt Regency Chennai.

Chef Nilza Wangmo, recipient of the prestigious Nari Shakti Puraskar awarded by the President of India in 2019, is the proud owner of Alchi Kitchen, an all-women restaurant in Ladakh. Since its establishment in 2016, Alchi Kitchen has become a beloved destination for authentic Ladakhi cuisine, nestled in the serene ambiance near a thousand-year-old monastery. With its popularity soaring, Alchi Kitchen has expanded to include a branch in Leh.
