Cambrian Coffee, a popular specialty coffee shop in Spring Branch, is currently closed for repairs following a vehicle crash. The incident occurred during a high-speed chase, causing significant damage to the shop's glass, doors, interior furnishings, and equipment.
The owners, Brian Hinkle and Gemma Hildred, were shocked and disheartened when they received an alert from the shop's alarm system on Friday morning. They watched in disbelief as live video footage showed a vehicle surrounded by police inside their beloved coffee shop. They quickly made their way to the scene and were informed by authorities about the crash.
"It was a pretty big shock," expressed Hinkle. "We spent the entire weekend cleaning up the mess, meeting with contractors and insurance agents to assess the damage. The repair process may take up to two weeks, depending on the availability of materials."
The Geology-Inspired Theme and Dinosaur Artwork of Cambrian Coffee
Cambrian Coffee is known for its geology-inspired theme and homemade British baked goods. The shop features dinosaur-themed artwork created by Hildred, a geologist from Wales. The name of the shop, Cambrian, pays homage to the Latin name for Wales as well as the Cambrian geologic period.
