The first West Norfolk Seasonal Food and Drink Festival took place in Hunstanton, despite the drizzly weather. Organized by Mark and Rosie Kacary, owners of the Norfolk Deli, the festival showcased over 30 local producers on the High Street.

Mark Kacary expressed his concerns about the weather and whether the traders would find the event worthwhile. However, it seemed that the festival was a success, with visitors enjoying samples of Norfolk cheeses and other local products.

One of the participating producers was the Walnut Tree Distillery from Lyng, near Dereham. Graham Mills and Emma Brigham, the distillers, were pleased with the turnout and mentioned that food and drink events always attract a crowd. They enjoyed the opportunity to interact with customers and allow them to taste their farm-crafted gins.

Another vendor, Sam Brown, brought doggy treats from Mr Bark's Dog Bakery in Suffolk. She mentioned that there were many dog owners in attendance, allowing her to meet lots of lovely dogs.

Peter and Tahnee Beck from Midnight Owl Provisions in Holt brought a selection of teas, coffees, and hot chocolates. Despite the rain, they had a busy day and were happy with the turnout, mentioning that a similar market in Holt had also been successful.

The West Norfolk Seasonal Food and Drink Festival is set to become a regular event in Hunstanton, with three more festivals planned for this year. The next festival will take place on Sunday, June 16, once again featuring a variety of local producers.

The festival showcased a range of products, including hand-crafted chocolates by chocolatier Lama Amin, wines from Burn Valley Vineyard, chili products from Norfolk Chilli Farm, apple juices from Drove Orchards, and coastal-inspired gins from Brancaster Gin.

Overall, despite the drizzle, the first West Norfolk Seasonal Food and Drink Festival was a success, attracting visitors who were eager to sample and support local producers. The event is sure to become a popular fixture in Hunstanton's calendar, celebrating the best of Norfolk's food and drink.
