FresYes Fest has come a long way since its humble beginnings. What was once a small gathering of a few hundred people at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company has now transformed into a massive event drawing tens of thousands of attendees. This year, the festival returns on Saturday, taking over nearly four blocks of Fulton Street from Tulare to Ventura. To help you navigate this exciting event, here's a quick guide to FresYes 2024.

Getting In and Enjoying the Beer

The best part about FresYes Fest is that it's a free event, so you won't need to worry about entrance tickets. There are two entrances to the festival—one at Fulton Street and Tulare, and the other on Inyo Street off of Van Ness Avenue and Broadway Avenues. Expect security personnel to check bags and use wands for safety purposes.

This is a family-friendly event, and children are not only welcomed but encouraged to attend. A dedicated Family Fun Zone will be set up near Chukchansi Park. While dogs are allowed, consider the crowd size before bringing your furry friends along.

Parking may be a challenge due to the festival's popularity, but several city-owned parking garages are available nearby. The Spiral Garage at Van Ness and Inyo is the closest, followed by the garages at Tulare and Van Ness and Tulare and Fulton. Street parking may also be an option, although it's likely to be metered. If you don't have a designated driver, Uber and Lyft are encouraged.

Tioga-Sequoia's Beer Garden will have beer bars operating inside, and there will be several beer stations throughout the festival grounds. However, note that they will only accept tickets as payment, not cash or cards. It's recommended to purchase tickets in advance, which cost $7.50 each or $70 for a set of 10. On the day of the festival, tickets will be $9 each or $45 for six. Each ticket can be redeemed for one beer or two cans of water.

Food Trucks, Activities, and More

When it comes to food, head to the middle of the festival where you'll find a wide selection of food trucks curated by Fresno Street Eats. From pizza at Brickology to chicken from the Chicken Shack and Spicy Birdz, and even award-winning tacos from previous Taco Truck Throwdown winners, there's something to satisfy every craving. Don't forget to save room for desserts, as there will be plenty to choose from.

In addition to the food trucks, many Fulton Street businesses will be open during the festival. Modernist and 411 Rec Room are great options for those looking for a cocktail, while Sun Stereo Warehouse and Mammoth Mall offer unique shopping experiences. You can also try your hand at ax throwing or visit a version of Chinatown's 559 Night Market, located at the corner of Fulton and Mono.

A Diverse Lineup of Bands

Music has always been a key feature of FresYes Fest, and this year is no exception. With over a dozen bands and DJs performing across five stages, there's something for everyone's musical taste. The lineup includes current bands, legacy acts, and even surprise reunions.

The festival features two main stages, two DJ stages, a "Homegrown" stage sponsored by New Rock 104.1, and a stage inside Full Circle Brewing Company. Additionally, the Fulton is hosting punk night on Saturday, starting at 7 p.m.

Genres represented at the festival include punk, ska, reggae, blues, oldies, psych-rock, indie rock, pop, R&B, and regional Mexican music. A complete schedule of acts can be found below.
