Last-minute preparations are currently underway at Dix Park for the upcoming Dreamville Festival, organized by rapper J. Cole. The annual event, now in its fourth year, is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday at the park. While previous years have seen the festival sell out, there are still some tickets available for this weekend's event.

Attendees can expect some improvements at both stages, including enhanced sound and lighting. Stage two has been reoriented to provide better visibility for fans in different areas. Additionally, the festival will showcase the talent of local artists with seven murals on-site, created by artists from North Carolina.

With a record-breaking number of attendees expected over the weekend, festival organizers have collaborated with the city to expand the downtown shuttle program. This will ensure a larger fleet of vehicles is available to transport festival-goers to the park. Gates will open at noon each day.

Exciting Performances and Lineup

The lineup for Saturday includes performances by SZA, 50 Cent, J.I.D., Lil Yachty, Schoolboy Q, Sexxy Rd, Jeremih, Earthgang, Teezo Touchdown, Amaarae, Lute, Luh Tyler, and Domani. On Sunday, J. Cole and Nicki Minaj will headline the festival, with additional performances by Rema, Jeezy, Monica, Rae Sremmurd, Key Glock, Bas, Hunxho, Cozz, Omen, Tiacorine, and Chase Shakur.

Originally, Chris Brown was scheduled to headline on Saturday, but he was replaced by 50 Cent. Despite the announcement being made on April 1st, spokesperson Trey Hicks assured fans that it was not an April Fool's Day joke.

Delicious Food and Livestreaming Options

To cater to the hungry crowds, there will be over 50 food vendors on-site each day. Isaac Horton IV, co-owner of Oak City Fish and Chips, expressed excitement about participating in the festival for the fourth year in a row. Horton shared that J. Cole had visited their food truck when it was parked near downtown Raleigh several years ago, and they were thrilled to learn that they were one of his favorite food trucks.

For those unable to attend the festival in person, there is good news. The event will be livestreamed for free starting at 3 p.m. daily on Amazon's music channels, including Twitch, Prime Video, and the Amazon Music app.
