For the past seven years, Pensacola's Habitat for Humanity has organized food truck festivals to raise funds for their charitable initiatives. This year, they decided to step away from hosting the event, but thanks to Sean DeSmet's initiative, the May the Fourth Food Truck and Cosplay Fest was born. DeSmet, the owner of 3-D Eats food truck, reached out to Habitat for Humanity and expressed his desire to support their organization.
Taking place on May 4th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pensacola's Harley Davidson on Pensacola Blvd, the festival will feature around 14 local food trucks offering a wide variety of cuisines. Attendees will be charged a $5 admission fee, with children 10 and under attending for free. In addition, the food truck vendors will be donating 10% of their sales to Habitat for Humanity.
