Tropical Pressure, one of the UK's top small festivals, is making a comeback in Cornwall this summer. Set to take place in July at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, overlooking Porthtowan beach, this three-day event has gained a reputation for its intimate and authentic atmosphere, delicious food, and impressive lineup of music celebrating the cultures of Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean. Last year, The Times named it the number-one small festival in the UK.

With the theme of "Movements," this year's Tropical Pressure aims to provide an uplifting and positive experience, focusing on the power of community, collaboration, and taking action for the planet. Festival manager Claire Marshall expressed her excitement for Tropical Pressure 2024, promising it to be the most memorable edition yet. The organizers are dedicated to hosting a green and environmentally sustainable festival, emphasizing creative and cultural enrichment.

The festival will only have 3,000 available tickets, ensuring an intimate and vibrant experience for attendees. Throughout the day and evening, live bands from around the tropical world will take the stage in the arena, accompanied by a schedule of free workshops suitable for all ages. As the sun sets, the festival site transforms into a magical wonderland with renowned DJs spinning tunes from across the globe in three unique party spaces: Fandangos Nightclub, the Enchanted Dancehall, and La Cornucopia.

Food lovers will also be in for a treat at the festival's World Food Market, open from 8 am to 11:30 pm. All food offerings, from breakfast bagels to late-night fries, will be completely plant-based, catering to a variety of dietary preferences.

A new addition to Tropical Pressure this year is the Movements Area, which promises to be visually stunning. Festival-goers can explore a demonstration permaculture garden and a small woodland area offering inspiring and empowering activities. These activities aim to showcase the positive actions happening in the world and encourage attendees to take their own positive actions to protect the natural environment.

While the lineup for Tropical Pressure 2024 is yet to be announced, previous years have featured incredible performances, such as a hip hop-reggae-cumbia mashup by Cuba's La Dame Blanche and Ghanaian Frafra gospel by Alogte Oho and His Sounds of Joy.

Mark your calendars for July 12-14 and visit the festival's website, www.tropicalpressure.co.uk, for more information and to purchase tickets. Don't miss out on this unique and life-affirming experience that celebrates diversity, community, and the power of positive action.
