Shoppers in Dubai have the chance to win up to AED 200,000 while doing their Eid shopping. By spending AED 200 at participating malls, customers will receive a digital raffle coupon. Over the course of three days of Eid, 22 winners will be drawn to win varying amounts of money.
The Eidya Digital Raffle Promotion is just one of the many activities organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) to ensure that everyone has a fun and memorable Eid in the emirate. Suhaila Ghabash, Vice President of Festival Planning & Operations, shared that there will be over 20 concerts and activities happening across the city. In addition to the raffle draws, there will be fireworks, staycation offers, unique food offerings, and more. Ghabash encourages people to visit as many places as they can and enjoy what Dubai has to offer during the Eid break.
Exciting Activities for a Memorable Eid
This campaign follows a highly successful Ramadan in Dubai, which featured events such as the Great Online Sale and Ramadan street food festival. According to Ghabash, there was a significant collaboration between the private and public sectors to create festivities during Ramadan. She also mentioned that Dubai aims to become a destination for celebrating Ramadan, especially now that the holy month falls during cooler months.
During the three days of Eid, there will be spectacular fireworks shows lighting up the skies at 8pm. On the first day, the fireworks can be enjoyed at Dubai Festival City Mall and in Hatta. On the second day, Al Seef will have colorful displays, and on the third day, there will be fireworks at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR.
Eid Reflections will also take place, with several iconic landmarks and neighborhoods lighting up from 8pm to 3am each day of Eid. Al Seef, Jumeirah Grand Mosque, and Dubai Festival City Mall are among the locations where visitors and residents can enjoy these displays.
Concerts and Entertainment
Music lovers will have the opportunity to attend concerts during the Eid break. Saudi sensation Abdulmajeed Abdullah will perform on April 13 at the Coca-Cola Arena, while Persian singer Dariush will take the stage at Sheikh Rashid Hall in Dubai World Trade Centre on April 10. The popular musical fiesta Elrow XXL will return to Dubai on April 13 at Media City Amphitheatre, with Australian music producer Fisher as the headliner. Filipino music fans can look forward to performances by Sarah Geronimo and Bambo at the Coca-Cola Arena on April 14.
Family Fun and Staycation Offers
Families can gather at Global Village, where they can explore the Eid Wonder Souk and enjoy musical fireworks displays at 9pm daily. The park will also host over 200 cultural and entertainment performances throughout the celebrations.
For sports enthusiasts, the Community Run will take place on April 14 at the Ripe Market, offering three route options of 2.5km, 5km, or 10km. Adventure lovers can visit Hatta Wadi Hub to participate in activities such as archery, zip lining, and kayaking.
With a long break ahead, staycations have become increasingly popular. The H Dubai offers free stay and meals for kids under 12 from April 9-19.
