The village of Fredonia has exciting news for its residents and visitors this summer. The annual Farm Festival will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, August 24th and 25th, in Barker Common. Sponsored by DFT Communications, Kravitz Tree Service, and Chautauqua County, this year's festival promises to be a fun-filled event for everyone to enjoy.

Mayor Michael Ferguson expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community. He stated, "We are lucky to have so many individuals and businesses that reached out to me to offer their resources. I made it clear a few weeks ago we need this festival to continue, and I am happy to say the Fredonia Farm Festival will be here for its 56th year."
Although the planning is still in its early stages, co-chairs Lauren Boyle and Greg Krauza are eager to lead the organizing committee. They emphasized that the Farm Festival is a community event and will require help and support from individuals and businesses throughout the area. "We will need a lot of help and support from individuals and businesses throughout the community in order to have an event we are all proud of," Boyle and Krauza said.

The committee is grateful for the support they have already received and is committed to maintaining the core events of past Farm Festivals while also introducing new ideas. Honoring the farm community, fostering a family-friendly atmosphere, showcasing local entertainers, and organizing a vibrant parade are among the values the committee aims to uphold.
The organizers and committee are thrilled to have the full support of Mayor Ferguson, the village of Fredonia, County Executive PJ Wendel, and the major sponsors. They will also be working closely with Festivals Fredonia and past organizers, Mark Mackey and Melissa Thompson, to ensure a smooth transition.
