The Taste of East Anglia Food and Drink Festival in Suffolk has unveiled an impressive lineup of chefs for this year's edition. With a blend of local favorites and award-winning professionals, this festival promises a culinary experience like no other.

Formerly known as the Taste of Sudbury Festival, this event has gained a reputation for showcasing the best culinary talents in the region. This year's lineup includes renowned chefs who are sure to captivate the taste buds of festival-goers.

One of the headlining chefs making his debut on the festival's stage is Freddie Fallon, the talented head chef at The Bildeston Crown. Fallon plans to fuse Asian influences with locally sourced produce from the Nedging Hall Estate, promising a unique and flavorful experience for attendees.

Returning chefs include James Carn, a chef to watch according to The Good Food Guide, and Alan Paton, who will be offering samples of his award-winning black pudding Battenberg sausage roll. Other familiar faces include Will and Simon Wooster from Wooster's Bakery, Lee Cooper from Bedford Lodge Hotel, Sam Sturman from The Bull at Troston, and Greg Strolenberg from Lavenham Butchers. All of these talented chefs will be showcasing their skills in the festival theatre.

Leading the kitchen theatre will be Jon Jackaman, a highly experienced chef who has worked in prestigious restaurants such as The Ritz. Jackaman, the founder of Infusions and the creator of the ICE brand in Bury St Edmunds, will bring his expertise to the festival, ensuring an unforgettable culinary experience.

Justine Paul, the festival organizer, expressed her excitement about this year's lineup, stating, "We've always focused on showcasing the best local chefs and artisan producers on our kitchen stage, and this year is no different. But it is probably the most exciting lineup for many years." Paul believes that these chefs embody the values of the local food and drink scene, which the festival aims to champion.

Tickets for this all-day event are priced at £6 for adults, with free admission for children aged 17 and under.
